I want to begin by saying what a joy it is to be meeting with you today.

오늘 여러분과의 만남이 얼마나 기쁜지에 대해 얘기하는 것으로 시작하기를 원합니다.

My ongoing prayer is that our partnership will become a beacon for the gospel.

우리의 동역자적 관계가 복음을 위하여 빛을 비추는 등대가 되기를 위해 저는 계속 기도하고 있습니다.

Of course this can only truly work if we come together out of a deep and life changing knowledge of the Gospel of grace and so today I count it a great privilege to be sharing God’s word with you.

물론 이 일은 우리가 깊고 삶을 변화시키는 은혜의 복음에 대한 지식으로 함께 나아올 때에만 진정으로 이루어 질 수 있습니다. 그래서 오는 저는 여러분과 하나님의 말씀을 나누게 된 것을 큰 특권으로 생각합니다.

Over the next two weeks I want to look at Mark Chapter 13.

두 주에 걸쳐 저는 마가복음 13장을 살펴보기를 원합니다

 Mark 13 comes as Jesus enters his final days before his crucifixion.

마가복음13장은 예수님이 십자가에 달리시기 전 그분의 마지막 며칠을 맞이하는 것으로 나타납니다.

As reflected in the other biographies of Jesus, Jesus takes a moment to consider the future beyond his death and resurrection.

예수님의 다른 일대기에도 나타나는 것 같이, 예수님은 자신의 죽음과 부활 후의 미래에 대해 고찰하기 위해  잠시 시간을 갖습니다.

It is not uncommon for people to consider what will happen beyond their own death.

사람들이 자신의 죽음 후에 일어날 일에 대해 생각해 보는 것은 드문 일은 아닙니다.

Many people write wills, apparently you can even record a DVD to be played on your tombstone.

많은 사람들이 유언장을 쓰거나, 쉽게 생각해 볼 수 있듯이 묘비 위에 상영할 수 있는    DVD를 만들 수도 있습니다. 

Grandparents in particular take great interest the future by investing in their grandchildren seeking to make sure that some of their own history and understanding lives on in their children’s children.

특히 할머니 할아버지들은 자신들이 살아온 삶과 인생철학 같은 것이 그들의 자손들 가운데서 계속 이어질 수 있도록 하기 위하여 손주들에게 투자를 하는 방식으로 자신들의 미래에 대하여 지대한 관심을 보입니다.

Of course as we have seen throughout Mark, Jesus view is much larger than grandparents, his view is of a Kingdom that will last for eternity and so his words speak to us with greater authority than grandparents and unlike our ancestors continue to speak to us today, thousands of years and many generations later.

마가복음을 통해 본 것처럼, 예수님의 시각은 그런 할머니 할아버지들의 것보다는 훨씬 큽니다. 그 분의 시각은 영원히 있을 하늘나라에 관한 것이며, 그의 말씀은 조부모들의 그것보다 훨씬 큰 권위로 우리에게 말씀합니다. 우리의 조상들과는 달리 수 천년이 지나고  수 없이 많은 세대가 지난 오늘에도 우리에게 지속적으로 말씀하고 있습니다.

The whole chapter is framed by one incident and two questions about the future.

13장 전체는 미래에 관한 하나의 사건과 두 가지의 질문에 의해 짜여있습니다.

Look with me at Mark 13:1-4

저와 같이 마가복음 13장 1-4절을 보실까요

1As he was leaving the temple, one of his disciples said to him, "Look, Teacher! What massive stones! What magnificent buildings!"  2"Do you see all these great buildings?" replied Jesus. "Not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."

3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives opposite the temple, Peter, James, John and Andrew asked him privately, 4"Tell us, when will these things happen? And what will be the sign that they are all about to be fulfilled?"

1. 예수께서 성전을 떠나가실 때에, 제자들 가운데서 한 사람이 예수께 말하였다. "선생님, 보십시오, 얼마나 굉장한 돌입니까! 얼마나 굉장한 건물들입니까!"
2. 예수께서 그에게 말씀하셨다. "너는 이 큰 건물들을 보고 있느냐? 여기에 돌 하나도 돌 위에 남지 않고 다 무너질 것이다."
3. 예수께서 올리브 산에서 성전을 마주 보고 앉아 계실 때에, 베드로와 야고보와 요한과 안드레가 따로 예수께 물었다.
4. "우리에게 말씀해 주십시오. 이런 일이 언제 일어나겠습니까? 또 이런 일들이 이루어지려고 할 때에는, 무슨 징조가 있겠습니까?"

In effect Jesus is saying to his disciples there is about to be a new era in history everything is going to be different beyond this point.

사실상 예수님은 제자들에게 역사상 새시대가 도래할 것이고 이 시점 이후로 모든 것이 다르게 될 것임을 말하고 있습니다.

Not surprisingly the disciples ask questions about when this significant change will take place and what signs introduce this significant change.

놀랄 것도 없이 제자들은 언제 이런 중대한 변화가 일어날것인지 무슨 징조와 함께 이런 변화가 있게 될 것인지 묻습니다. 

In answer to these questions Jesus first focuses on the question about the signs of change and then the question of when the change will take place.

이런 질문에 대한 답변을 하면서, 예수님은 첫째로 변화의 징조가 무엇인가에 대한 질문과 또  언제  그런 변화가 올 것인지에  촛점을 맞추고 있습니다

So this week we will look at question of signs and next week the question of when. You need to be here both weeks J

그래서 이번 주에 우리는 징조에 관한 질문을 살필 것이고 다음주에는 언제 그런 변화가 있을 것인가에 대하여 볼 것입니다.

여러분은 두 주간 모두 참석할 필요가 있겠죠^^

 I want to look at the signs of this significant change under three headings:

저는 3가지 제목 아래 이런 중대한 변화의 징조에 관해 살펴보기를 원합니다.

1.      The sign of intimate access.

2.      The sign of deception.

3.      The sign of impact.
